Truman Library Institute Awarded $10,000 Grant from Missouri Humanities Council | June 19, 2017

The Missouri Humanities Council (MHC) has awarded a grant of $10,000 to the Truman Library Institute in support of its exhibition-related Teachers Conference and public programming. The MHC is the only statewide agency in Missouri devoted exclusively to humanities education for citizens of all ages. It has served as a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities since 1971. Learn more

Kansas City Area Students Earn 1st Place in Nation at National History Day | June 16, 2017

Two area students earned gold medals at the national competition of National History Day this week in College Park, Md. Hannah Scott, a recent graduate of Odessa High School, earned first place in the Senior Individual Exhibit, and Erin Lowe, a junior at Pembroke High School, earned first place in the Senior Individual Performance.
