The Truman Library is launching a massive renovation of the museum and its exhibitions, the first major renovation in more than 20 years and the largest since the museum opened its doors in 1957. The museum’s last day open to the public is Monday, July 22, 2019, before the museum closes for approximately one year.

Pre-arranged self-guided Museum tours for groups of 15 or more qualify for a discounted rate of $5.75 per person. To request a guided Museum tour, 4-week advance reservations are required. Please allow a minimum of 1 ½ hours for your tour; add 45 minutes if you plan to watch the Guggenheim documentary, Harry S. Truman.
School & Youth Groups
The Harry S. Truman Library and Museum offers an inspiring and educational destination for your students, scouts or youth group. While children of all ages are welcome, the Museum’s content is best suited for ages 9 and older. Discounted rates are offered for groups of 15 or more. Please allow 1 1/2 hours for your tour, with an extra 45 minutes if you plan to watch the Guggenheim documentary, Harry S. Truman.
The group admission rate is $2 per student and includes one complimentary adult admission for every ten students. Ask about the Truman Library Institute’s “Bus Stops Here” grant program, which may cover all or part of your school’s admission and/or transportation costs.
Docent-led tours are offered for grades 4 and higher and must be reserved at least 4 weeks in advance of your visit. All grade levels may reserve self-guided tours; a minimum of 24-hours notice is required in order to qualify for the group discount. Curriculum guides, which can be mailed in advance of your tour, help you make the most of your Museum experience.

Youth admission is $3; with advance reservation, groups of 15 or more receive one complimentary adult admission for every ten youth admissions. Please reserve self-guided tours at least 24 hours in advance of your visit. Docent-led tours require 4-week’s advance registration and are available for ages 10 and older.
