Harry S. Truman Library & Museum
CLOSING FOR RENOVATION: The Truman Library is launching a massive renovation of the museum and its exhibitions, the first major renovation in more than 20 years and the largest since the museum opened its doors in 1957. The museum’s last day open to the public is Monday, July 22, 2019, before the museum closes for approximately one year.

Monday – Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Free: Members and children 5 and younger visit free year round. Veterans and active duty military members visit free from V-E Day (May 8) through V-J Day (August 14).
$8: Ages 15 and older
$7: Adults 65+
$6: Students (with valid I.D.)
$3: Youth (ages 6-15)
Groups of 15 or more are eligible for a group discount; guided tours may be requested with a four-week advance reservation. Learn more

There is no admission charge to visit the Museum Store.

From KCI Airport: East and south on I-435 (Kansas City’s circumferential highway) about 32 miles, to U.S. 24 (Independence Avenue), and then east approximately 4 miles; destination will be on your left. From the north: I-35 to I-435 east then travel south to U.S. 24 east. Travel approximately 4 miles; destination will be on your left.
Parking is free for Museum visitors. Free motorcoach parking is also available.
The Harry S. Truman Library and Museum is wheelchair accessible. For your convenience, wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis.
